CURTATONE CELEBRATES THE 'SPORTS BIRTHDAY': A MOMENT OF CELEBRATION, GRATITUDE AND PRIDE FOR OUR COMMUNITY

In the beating heart of Curtatone, the Eremo sports hall has been transformed into a place of emotions, recognition and belonging. The traditional “Sports Christmas” festival took place, a precious opportunity to celebrate those who, with passion, effort and dedication, made 2024 a year of great sporting goals for our territory.

This event is not only an award ceremony, but a moment of great value for the entire community: it is the concrete recognition of the commitment of athletes, coaches, volunteers and organizers who, with their tireless work, contribute to making Curtatone a living, dynamic and cohesive place.

A heartfelt thanks were addressed by the municipal administration to all the collaborators of the 2nd Battle Marathon, an event that unites and makes the heart of city sport beat faster, and to the 94 volunteers who have given their precious contribution, including 52 members of the Indian community with the groups 'Rangla Punjab', 'Sing Dimpy' and 'Nirankari' (Melania Som group). This participation is the symbol of a community that embraces, supports and grows together, valuing every single contribution.

The party had moments of great emotion with the award ceremony of 24 athletes and coaches belonging to 11 different sports associations, real protagonists who, with their passion, have raised the name of Curtatone. Among them, a name that enlightens everyone: Giancarlo Masini, a Paralympic cycling athlete, an example of courage, strength and determination, who has demonstrated that sport is an extraordinary training ground for life.

Closing this meaningful afternoon was the speech of Mayor Carlo Bottani, who wanted to warmly thank the managing director for sport Matteo Totaro and the entire sports office, with Tatiana Varoli, Monica Bassi and Valeria Marastoni, underlining how fundamental their commitment is for the growth of sport and the community itself.

Curtatone's 'Sports Christmas' is much more than an event: it is the beating heart of a community that believes in the values of sport, in the solidarity and commitment of every citizen. It is the concrete demonstration that together we can grow, overcome challenges and look to the future with enthusiasm.
