Levata is a hamlet in the town of Curtatone, located about 5 km from the center of Mantua. Formerly rural, today it is a dynamic residential area, but it retains a strong historical identity linked to the Risorgimento and to the figure of the parish priest Luigi Martini, confessor of the Martyrs of Belfiore. Its history is also evidenced by documents dating back to the 13th century.
