Every year, the Municipality of Curtatone renews its appointment with “18plus”, an initiative dedicated to all young people who reach the age of majority. The project was created as a special opportunity for meeting and discussion, designed to accompany young people as they officially enter the civic life of the community.
The aim of the event is to offer an opportunity to learn more about the institutions and to begin to “inhabit” their territory in a more conscious and participatory way.
How the initiative works:
- The invitation: On their eighteenth birthday, residents receive an official invitation letter from the Administration directly at their home.
- The meeting: The meeting usually takes place in the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Curtatone, in Montanara, a symbolic location for democratic life in the area.
- Participation: To facilitate the organization of the reception, young people who are invited are asked to confirm their attendance through a quick online registration process.
This meeting represents a bridge between the younger generation and the Municipality, aimed at strengthening their sense of belonging and connection to their community.
