THE COAT OF ARMS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CURTATONE

THE COAT OF ARMS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CURTATONE
The coat of arms of the Municipality of Curtatone is one of the oldest and most significant symbols of the territory’s civic identity. It was officially recognized by decree of the Head of Government on October 11, 1932, which granted the municipality the right to use it and registered it in the Heraldic Register of Moral Entities.

The decree describes the coat of arms with the following words:

Azure, featuring a natural-colored bust of a man crowned with laurel.

A simple yet deeply meaningful emblem: the blue field represents loyalty and civic virtue, while the bust of a man crowned with laurel evokes courage, honor, and the historical memory that have always distinguished the Curtatone community. The laurel wreath, a symbol of victory and glory, recalls the heroic spirit that binds Curtatone to key moments in national history—most notably the Battle of Curtatone and Montanara.

The external ornaments typical of municipal coats of arms complete the emblem, emphasizing its institutional and representative nature. Today, the coat of arms continues to accompany the gonfalon during official ceremonies and solemn civic occasions, embodying the pride and historical legacy of the city of Curtatone.
