CARNIVAL IN THE SQUARE IN BUSCOLDO - A COMMUNITY FESTIVAL BETWEEN COLORS, SMILES AND TRADITION

Every year, when winter begins to give way to the first warm rays of the sun, Buscoldo is preparing to host one of the events most awaited by the entire community: the Carnival in the square. A simple but deeply felt event that celebrates being together, shared joy and the importance of small gestures that bring people together.

Saturday, February 23, 2025, starting at 2:30 p.m., Piazza Lombardelli became the beating heart of a special day, in which the smiles of the children and the joy of the families animated the streets of the center with colorful masks, games, music and the scent of traditional sweets.

Promoted by the Pastoral Unit of Curtatone, with the support of the Municipality and the Local Police, the Buscoldo Carnival represented a moment of true civic participation. An initiative born from the desire to give everyone a festive opportunity, built with care and attention to offer fun in a serene and safe environment.

The afternoon began with face painting, which transformed the faces of the little ones into fantastic characters and imaginary creatures, followed by the traditional mask parade, which traveled the streets of the town bringing with it a breath of lightheartedness and wonder. To make the atmosphere even more magical, they thought of a show by jugglers and the unmistakable scent of pancakes and lettuce for all the participants to savor the authentic taste of the holidays of the past. Everything was accompanied by music and animation that accompanied the party until sunset.

Behind every detail of this day was the commitment of many people: volunteers, organizers, local police officers and city administrators. Thanks to their collaboration, it was possible to ensure the proper conduct of the event, also through the temporary closure to traffic and the parking in Piazza Lombardelli and in the streets surrounding the parade route.

And if the weather hadn't cooperated, the party would simply have been postponed to Sunday, March 2, 2025. But the sun smiled on the square and the desire to be together found its space and time.

The Buscoldo Carnival was more than an event. It was a gift to the community. An invitation to slow down, to share, to look into each other's eyes, to laugh together. An opportunity to teach children the value of participation and to adults the power of simplicity.

A carnival that was not limited to parading through the streets, but that crossed hearts, leaving behind a warm, profound and authentic memory.
