We strongly desired the return of the Province of Mantua to the Garda Community. I am very pleased that this has continued, setting an example for other municipalities and fellow mayors who wanted to join this large family. Thinking about bringing the Madonnari to the Vittoriale degli Italiani tomorrow, or the great maestro Daniele Anselmi to play and conduct the orchestra, or the International Academy of Lyric Singing of Curtatone to the Vittoriale degli Italiani, could be a goal.
All these relationships, interactions and dialogues can only bring and create wealth, well-being and positive interconnections.

The Mantua area has been included in its entirety with all its institutions, but the spark came from the province of Mantua, from President Bottani, who realised about a year ago that it was necessary to restore this integrated relationship between the Mantua area and the wider Lake Garda area. Today, we took part in an event that exemplifies the collaboration between the Garda community and the Mantua area, namely the presentation of the Fiera delle Grazie at the Vittoriale degli Italiani. This is one of many examples, but I can tell you that a major event is already being planned for next year, from September to November, a Garda festival, Lake Garda, which is also the result of collaboration between the Vittoriale and the Garda community, naturally extended to all the institutions in the Mantua area. It will be two months of celebrations that will involve and can involve all our territories.

The Vittoriale is not only a place of history, poetry and art, it is also a driving force for culture. Art can no longer be distinguished between poor and rich; art is art because it is beautiful, because it is human creation, and therefore the Madonnari event is extraordinarily important, also because it is so ancient; it is history that decides what is important.
I am extremely happy to have been appointed President of the jury, and I will do my job with care and diligence, assisted, of course, by more experienced jurors. In short, the union of forces on Lake Garda, as everywhere else, can only produce good things, namely wealth, cheerfulness, happiness and joie de vivre, which is what we want.

And this year will begin just like last year, as a prelude to this great event, the Feast of the Assumption, with a concert dedicated to Vivaldi's Magnificat, which commemorates the figure of the Virgin Mary. Since today, in this wonderful setting of the Vittoriale, we are talking about art and culture, the Verdi Theatre carries on this ideal of art and culture and, together with the administration of our municipality, I would like to thank our Mayor Carlo Bottani, who is also President of our province, with whom we are collaborating to do truly extraordinary things in the name of art and culture.

The 600th anniversary of the Fair, from 13 to 17 August, will once again celebrate Grazie as the cradle of Madonna art worldwide. This year, the Madonna, the shrines in Italy, Europe and around the world, something truly unique to see, savour, enjoy and, above all, come and visit to remember.
The Fiera delle Grazie, one of the most important events dedicated to Madonna art, was presented in the prestigious setting of the Vittoriale degli Italiani. The occasion highlighted the value of the event and its role as a bridge between tradition, culture and new collaborations between the Mantua and Garda areas.

The meeting emphasised the importance of art as a tool for dialogue and growth, capable of uniting institutions, communities and artists. There was talk of shared projects, future events and how the Fiera delle Grazie, with its 600 years of history, continues to be a unique event that attracts visitors from all over the world.

From 13 to 17 August 2025, Grazie di Curtatone will once again be the cradle of madonnara art, with a programme that combines faith, culture and entertainment, offering citizens and tourists an unforgettable experience.
